Alice Chan Wai

Hong Kong actress who is known for her roles in both television and film. She is best recognized for her recurring role as Cheng Hei-man in Divine Retribution and for appearing in the 2012 series Friendly Fire. 

Before Fame

She attended Chu Hai College of Higher Education but stopped to compete in the Miss Asian beauty pageant at 23. After winning the pageant, she signed a contract with Asia Television and began acting in 1997 when she debuted as Chan Yuen-Sheung in the series The Snow is Red. Her feature film debut came that same year when she starred in Lan Kwai Fong. 

Trivia

She earned critical acclaim and several awards for her performance as the actress Anita Mui in the 2005 series A Dream Named Desire. 

Family Life

Born in Beijing, she moved to Hong Kong at one and a half years old where she was raised with her older sister.

She starred alongside Nancy Wu and Annie Liu in the period piece drama series Deep in the Realm of Conscience.
