Before Fame

He initially began attending Muhlenberg College on a soccer scholarship; however, after sustaining a knee injury, he decided to pursue acting. He appeared in numerous school plays and musicals before graduating with a BFA in Theater Arts. He performed in stage productions throughout New York until he was signed by his 1st agent and relocated to Los Angeles, where he earned his 1st movie role in the 1996 feature film, McHale's Navy, opposite Tim Curry

His portrayal of the gay, HIV-positive Vince Taylor on the groundbreaking 2005 drama series Commander in Chief helped the show earn an Outstanding Drama Series nomination from the 2005 GLAAD Media Awards. The series also starred Geena Davis and Donald Sutherland.
