South African actress, author, entrepreneur, and activist who gained fame for her portrayal of the lead character in the SABC 1 sitcom Nomzamo from 2007 to 2010. She also took over the roles of Zinzile Zungu and Phumelele Zungu in the telenovela Isibaya on Mzansi Magic. She has been nominated for a MIPAD Award.

Before Fame

During her educational years, she enrolled at Brettonwood High School located in Umbilo, Durban, where she received formal training in speech and drama. 

Trivia

In 1999, she started her acting career portraying Thami, a babysitting schoolgirl, in the SABC 1 soap opera Generations. Her ayandaborotho Instagram account has garnered a following of 900,000 fans and supporters.

Family Life

She is from the township of Ntuzuma in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. She is married to Filike Ngubane. Her husband is a doctor and they have three children together.
