British television personality, engineer and former army officer who is best known for his work in It's Not Easy Being Green, Crafty Tricks of War, Planet Mechanics, and Coast. He is also known for the show Escape to the Château.
Before Fame
In 1976, he graduated from Ballyclare High School. He enrolled at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College before going on to Sandhurst. In 1980, he joined the Royal Corps of Signals. He was promoted to lieutenant in April 1981, captain in October 1985, and became a major in September 1991.
Trivia
He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science from Plymouth University in 2010.
Family Life
He is the son of George and Jennifer Strawbridge. He has been married to Angel Strawbridge since 2015. He was previously married to Brigit Strawbridge Howard. They have two children, James and Charlotte Strawbridge.
