About

Murderer who shot and killed a police officer during a 2005 interrogation at a Providence, Rhode Island police station. He was brought into the station after stabbing an 85-year-old woman. During the interrogation, one officer left the room to get him a glass of water. A struggle ensued between Carpio and the remaining officer, who was shot and killed. Carpio then jumped the third-floor window in an attempt to escape. He was allegedly beaten during his capture, and a state police detective testified during the murder trial that he had punched him several times in the face. Carpio's family accused the police of brutality, although the verdict found that they had not used excessive force.

Before Fame
