Jeon Do-yeon

South Korean actress who is known for her roles in films including the 1997 romantic drama The Contact, the 2013 drama Way Back Home and the 2015 action film Memories of the Sword. She has also starred in the television shows Shoot for the Stars and Lovers in Prague. In 2007, she became the first South Korean actress to win the award for best actress at the Cannes Film Festival.

She attended the Seoul Institute of the Arts.

Trivia

She starred in the 2005 award-winning drama You Are My Sunshine. For her work on the film, she won the award for best actress at the 2005 Korean Film Awards and at the Chunsa Film Art Awards.

Family Life

She is married to businessman and professional race car driver Kang Shi-kyu, and they have one daughter together.
