About

Remembered best as a vocalist and songwriter for the New York rock, pop, and blues band The Good Rats, Marchello founded his music group with St. John's University classmates Frank Stapleton, Ted Haenlein, Denny Ryan, and Eric Crane. The band's best known albums include Tasty and Ratcity in Blue.

Before Fame

Before changing its name to the Good Rats, his popular band made its debut in the mid 1960s as 'The U Men.'

Trivia

During the 1990s and early 2000s, he and his sons Stefan and Gene released three albums: Tasty Seconds, Let's Have Another Beer, and Play Dum.

Family Life

Upon his death from cardiac arrest, he was survived by his wife, Catherine; mother, Yolanda; and children Stefan, Spencer, Kristin, and Gene.
