Sammy Stewart

About

Former major league starting pitcher and reliever that won a World Series while playing with the Baltimore Orioles in 1983. After seven seasons with Baltimore, he then joined the Boston Red Sox in 1986. Just one season later, he joined the Cleveland Guardians, where he played until he retired in 1987. 

Before Fame

He is a graduate of Charles D. Owen Public High School. Shortly after graduating, he then enrolled into Montreat College as a freshman. 

Trivia

Unfortunately, he got into a lot of trouble during post retirement career. He was even arrested over 20 different times.

Family Life

Prior to his death, he lived in the state of North Carolina. He was a father of four children.
