She discovered her passion for singing as a young girl growing up. In fact, she first began studying music at the young age of six.

During her professional singing career, she won over 40 different music awards. She received her first Nandi Award for 'Best Female Playback Singer' due to her highly-acclaimed performance in the Telugu film Antha Rangaalu in 1999.

Family Life

She married Kumar Goparaju in 1997 while she was a teenager. She and Kumar had two children together before divorcing. She later remarried Rama Krishna Veerapaneni in January 2021.
