About

Former chief executive officer of Gresham College known for becoming the first CEO of the institute in July of 2020. She has served on the Chair of Remuneration Committee at the University of Oxford since April 2015. She is also a director for UK Abraham Accords Group and a senior advisor for the House of Commons, both of which are located in London.

Before Fame

She earned a first class honours bachelor's degree in English from King's College London before going on to receive her master of philosophy degree in Shakespeare and renaissance drama, as well as her doctor of philosophy from Lincoln College in Oxford, England. She initiated her career by serving as the head of education at the Institute for Public Policy Research before moving on to join the prime minister's strategy unit, where she climbed the ladder to the role of deputy director.

Trivia

She served as director general of the Russell Group for nearly a decade until, in 2016, she announced that she would be resigning from her position following an internal investigation into her expenses.

Family Life

In the year 2016, it was reported that she had been involved in an affair with Lloyds Banking Group chief executive António Horta Osório. He was married at the time with three children.

She is a board member of the Snowdon Trust, which was originated by Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, more commonly referred to as Lord Snowdon.
